HO! And it wasn't Patrick who was playing the bass :S. It was a little little white short man.

I doubt it -- by the sound of the Pitchfork interview with Nick, he's pretty pissed off that this album didn't get great reviews.

It'll probably be at least a year and a half to 2 years before we hear anything.
There's an interview with him in an Irish paper... he says that he has 2 Islands albums ready to record, the first of which he'd love to release next spring, but the label will probably wanna wait. He also seems to have decreased his own love for Arm's Way because of the cool reception it got, saying something like "I had to get a load of long self-indulgent rock opera songs out of my system... the next one will be more concise".

Don't be so hard on yrself, son!

some artists should really steer clear of popular criticisms.

I have a Dublin setlist somewhere, the order was indeed different, Creeper was 2nd for one....I'll find it in a while.

Galway was decent although the sound wasn't the best. It probably was better than Dublin musically (an even worse venue for sound) but there wasn't as much crowd interaction and there was this young drunken douchebag jumping and shouting in the front row like a child at a Barney the Dinosaur concert. It seemed to annoy the people around me more than me, some people just can't hold their drink, but by the last 3 songs (good last 3 selection) a lot more people were dancing and it was savage.

Lets hope next time there's better venue selections. How was Leeds?

Hello, friend.

I was tipsy yes.

But I won't apologise for dancing. Islands are one of my favourite bands ever. The others include The Polyphonic Spree and Flaming Lips; bands who you could have a particularly bad seizure during and have nobody bat an eyelid. I wasn't gunna tame shit down just because everyone else there was either leaning against a wall or massaging the inside of their pockets. We had just disembarked a 5-hour long bus journey and gone straight to the venue. I'd extra energy to rid of! A couple of Islands even said to my friends afterwards that they thought it cool that we were actually moving a bit. We weren't gunna wait til they pulled out Rough Gem before showing excitement, like the others.

I didn't realise I was being particularly irritating and if I was, I sincerely apologise. You're obviously a cool dude if you went to both shows and are on here, and I meant no harm.

I woz just avin fun dood.

Fair enough, I apologise for complaining. As I said I wasn't as irritated as others were around me. You just really stood out in such a sparce venue and were louder than Nick at some points.

And if you like the spree and flaming lips you'd probably enjoy the I'm From Barcelona gig in December. I never tire of seeing that band live.

And I was never a cool dude btw!
